Once again, another week with little writing. Where does the time go?
Now I should be studying for my Econ midterm. I will, I will. Just wanted to write a quick entry.
Last week was hard and long. The weekend was great! I was outside in the sun most of Saturday, getting some much needed r&r.
The James Bond dance on Saturday was fun, but not as exciting as Moulin Rouge in my opinion. Ah well. I dressed rather revealingly and Sarah Reel came up to me screaming "Oh my God you're hot!!" I don't know if she was drunk or if she really just likes me. Some things I may never know.
So less than three weeks until my spring break--how about that for you? I miss my family a lot. School's not so bad; I just can't believe it's the end of February already. Time's fun when you're having flies.
I'm already starting to wonder what my plans will be this summer. I'd like to work at a summer camp rather than get a job. I could do the TIP program here at KU, and then I'd get to spend time with all the other people that'll be here over the summer. We'll see. I think I will have worked enough this semester to not need the money this summer. I would love to just stay home with my family. But who wouldn't I suppose? Goodness knows my mom could use the help. Bet you I get roped into doing "spring cleaning" when I'm home over break. Dah.
Anyone know how much DCI world costs? I'll have friends from KU band there in Southwind, so I'd really like to go as it's in Madison. And then I want to go to Texas . . . and my parents I think are planning on D.C. Maybe if I just RA at SMU . . . then all my Texas friends could come visit me! Wouldn't that be awesome. Ahh too much to think about. And now I have to go study.
Adios, mis amigos, y buena noche.

yeah I haven't been around in a while . . . I had an amazing weekend. GP-Miller formal, lots of lime chips, good music, silly dancing and great company. Good times were had.
This week, however, has been very long for me. I'm tired; so tired. Maybe that's destined to become a part of my personality? But tomorrow is Aubrey's birthday and it's going to be wonderful!
Off to do more homework and NOT fail my classes.
Love you all.

Hello all!! Happy Valentine's Day! and for those of you with and without significant others, I love you no matter what.
I had a wonderful birthday, if you were wondering. It was splendid. It started, well, I guess yesterday with my mom's presents, but then last night, my "big sister" Aubrey made me a birthday cake and gave me "Moulin Rouge" on DVD. She is the greatest!! I think Ewan McGregor is beautiful, fyi. Then I got a sign on my door and today was "Happy Maddy Day!" courtesy of dear Sarah Kat. Then I got a birthday e-mail from Eric. On the way to calculus, Becca sang to me. I got smiles all day and lots of lovely instant messages from everyone :-) it ws great. Randall, Alejandra and Daniel all sent me nice e-mails; Eric and Emily sent e-mail cards. And my family called. It was splendid. Then I talked online for a long time . . . when I should have been studying for the test I am now studying for, yeah, uh, don't ask. Then Eric came over! and gave me wonderful presents, which sounds silly if you don't understand. I got a can of Ready Whip, every color Sharpies, "Desire" by Bob Dylan, and a new cd holder thing (I got a burner for christmas for my comp, which is still not hooked up. . grr.). It was amazing. Then we went to the favored La Parillia for dinner and it was all formal and had a different menu and stuff . . . but the mushroom tortillas and the yucca/leek soup were excellent. Should have it more regularly.
So now I'm back attempting to study . . . but Dylan so beats studying . . . why couldn't I have been a groupie? oh right, I don't think a Catholic groupie would be very successful. Just a thought. Tomorrow is Miller (aka my hall) and GP (a guy's hall)'s semi-formal. I don't want to go but I promised the big sister. It could be fun. I'm wearing my thrift store dress. YES! So it could be a blast. It will be a great weekend. If only I didn't have to study for that damned calculus test . . .
back to the grind :-)

Yo yo. Good Ash Wednesday. Got the calc test moved until MONDAY. Yeah. Work was good; more paper cuts, but you know, that's what I get. I can be paid to get paper cuts.
What else? I got two packages from my favorite mommy. I didn't wait *slaps wrist* to open them. Lots of kisses and chocolate. And books and tapes and a first aid kit? Yeah. At least I got some arnica and natural cold/fever blister medicine. It surprised me though.
:-)
And I got a card from Katie. Happiness! I love mis amigos.
So what else do I have to say? Not much. How strange. Me, not have anything to say? I think I'm going to go eat mi ensalada now and I'll catch you people later.

so Calculus is trying to KILL ME? . . . please don't let it hurt me. . .
and if the FBI makes too many more terror warnings, people will become desentized to them, I tell you.
Okay, so I lost my whole entry and am trying to recreate it. I'm not happy so far. So as a disclaimer, I just want you to know the original was much much better.
Oh yes, and LOTR got 13 Oscar nominations. Damn straight. Best movie of the year. Albeit, I have only see one of the other nominees, but that's irrelevant, isn't it? (Note to self: see "Beautiful Mind," "Gosford Park" and "In The Bedroom" before the Oscars. haha)
I hope everyone is getting their stuff done for V-day, be it for lovers or friends. Everyone needs a little love. My roomie is taking care of her business as I type. Yea for Libby! I would like to point out that she is sending her boy an otter valentine. I think that is the sweetest thing in the world. An otter valentine.
For those who missed it, yesterday was Happy Otter Day.
Today is Happy Mardi Gras Day.
Yeah, and Lent is tomorrow. Who scheduled lent to overlap with my birthday? That's just bad planning if you ask me. Not fair at all. Oh well. Aw drat. I have to find a dinner alternative tomorrow. Grr. And I dn't know exactly what I'm doing for lent. Maybe daily Mass? We'll see.
Catch y'all later . . .

Okay, so yeah. birfday birfday soon. That's what the little bros say. Considering I got my parents' cards today, it's going to be rather anti-climatic. Oh well. Can't have everything my way I suppose. Thank goodness for Eric and the Miller girls--they keep my life interesting.

in the midst of all the mayhem, I had a fufilling day. Now if I could just get myself to bed, things would be all fine and well. Yet I feel a hunger pang coming on . . .

I take it back. I'm not twerked @ E. I just miss him. I mean, I have gotten to talk on the phone and AIM, but as you all know, it's not the same. Not at all. Epecially when Libby and I start talking about being lesbian when we're up late working on crossword puzzles . . . I mean, wouldn't Miller be the perfect place?

poor poor Dr. Loomis. He can't even get organized enough to let me help him get organized.

and furthermore, I'm a little twerked at Eric. Not for a good reason of course. Am I ever annoyed for good reasons? I get upset for fairly reasonable reasons, but little things are usually silly. So yeah, and it's almost just a week until my birthday. I can't quite believe it. I need food. Yep.

Okay, so the quiz says I'm Mario, but after taking the quiz again, I'm a ship?!? I don't know about foresight. But then the spark.com quiz DID say I was male. . . hmm. . .
I am a Defender-ship.
I am fiercely protective of my friends and loved ones, and unforgiving of any who would hurt them. Speed and foresight are my strengths, at the cost of a little clumsiness. I'm most comfortable with a few friends, but sometimes particularly enjoy spending time in larger groups. What Video Game Character Are You?

I am Mario.
I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble! I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk--for my life!! I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. What Video Game Character Are You?

So anyways, yeah, no one really reads this so what is the point? To amuse me!! Yes that's it. . .
I mean, it's not an online diary. It's just something to keep me from doing my calculus homework. You think I'd be good enough at that on my own not to need to create a little world in cyberspace. Guess not.
Wow, look at all of the pop culture expressions and other meaningless phrases I've used in such a short entry. I haven't used 'like' yet, have I? Woo-hoo!
So get this-- Daniel tells me he now drives an SUV and is rushing? Jess is down to 118 lbs and wears a size 6. Crista's mom has finally found the strength to do the right thing. Krista is going to put the World Cup on DVD so I can enjoy the excasty of soccer. Malavika got soap from her parents. Justin my foster brother got his ear pierced. Zak scores an average of 2.5 points per basketball game. Bob still tells me I'm the one for him. Libby almost got dragged to a strip club to look for naked, black girls. My parents are thinking they'll get to adopt Ion. Kim not only called me a skank, but also a "ho." Eric told me that I looked beautiful so many times that I started to believe him. and the Patriots won the Super Bowl.
evilpeach : even I watch the super bowl
evilpeach : and I correctly predicted that it was a set-up
XcentreIC : ?
evilpeach : I mean, the PATRIOTS won. . . isn't that suspicious? hmm?
XcentreIC : *cough* I wouldn't really know......
XcentreIC : but that's the gist of what I've heard
evilpeach : i mean, and the rams? hmm? sheep? horns? symbolizing the devil perhpas? the Taliban according to Bush?
XcentreIC : !
evilpeach : see
evilpeach : it's all a plot
evilpeach : good will triumph over evil
evilpeach : 'evil'
XcentreIC : lol... you're silly
evilpeach : all that red white and blue
evilpeach : think about it, just think about it. . .
XcentreIC : I think you've been joining the other poli. sci majors a little too often for their "recreational" drugs
And one last final time for the record--
Despite the overwhelming trend in public opinion, I have yet to use any traditional "recreational drugs."
