hello hello. I'm at dad's office, and I should go home but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the network internet. Oh so fast. Plus I get privacy here that I'd never get a home. If I was more ethical I'd go to the library, but I don't know where the general use computers are. Plus I don't have a user name. At least if I'm using my dad's, it's is in his office.
Well that was a whole bit about nothing. I just went and talked to my american politics professor about jobs in international environmental policy. He did say that a law degree would equip me well, not just because it gives me validity in other people's eyes. It does seem the easiest route to take. We'll see. And I met his (second as he's told us) wife. Man does she look young!! He's not bad looking but I was just taken off guard. They seem to get along well though.
Anyway, going to see the Astros play the Cubs tonight. Yea! I don't want to see the Cubs lose, who knows? I might get lucky. Optimism, optimism.
But no one wants to go to Austin with me!! :-( So no Misguided Lemming this week. Maybe I'll just send Ben money and get the cd. Hmph.
Okay, well all I've eaten today has been a bowl of ceral and there's not many options at the ballpark so I'd better go stuff my face. I think I found a recipie for vegatarian stuffed peppers (which I discovered in Budapest) so we'll see. I used to hate them because my mama made them with ground beef. I also used to dislike tacos and spagetti for the same reason. Down with recipies that are harmful to cows!!

haha under the 10 most recently published blogs, I just spied a blog entirely devoted to the KC royals. royalsbaseball.blogspot.com. haha. check it out.
yep, Daniel made fun of me, but I've been golfing a lot lately. No more than 9 holes at a time and often not that many. I'd much rather go after dinner when it cools down, but then it gets dark. It's too expensive a sport for me to do on my own, but living on the golf course makes it easy. Later I'll tell you all about our house. Aren't you all excited?
not much on or off here. Ryan and I have been dancing. I'm tired! He's got such spirit. Aww he wants a kiss! He calls himself a "little big boy." Now he's doing gymnastics. When I become a mother, you all are going to hate me. I won't shut up.
No, mothers like that drive me crazy. Do I seem like that type of person? Do I really want you to answer that question?
so this whole world seems to be challenging my faith in humanity. is the Bush administation so stupid, so unethical or so uninformed to dig such a deep hole? Why wouldn't they just plant wmd-s? did they really think the Iraqis would "welcome us as liberators?" I could've told you that wouldn't have happen, even people who haven't lived in the middle east could have.
Okay, Ryan in climbing all over him so I should go throw him in the bath. Enough political depression for now. Someone else please remind me why I'm a polysci major.

so Krista wants to here about the older Ischy. rrrRandall!!
well it was strange because he called at 11:45 on Saturday night. I was here at this computer, plugging away at my paper. Okay, that's not true. I was chatting online with Eric. On an oh-so-secret screen name. I was just getting ready to say goodnight and go to bed when Randall called.
I guess he was at work when I called him last time. He was in the office with the other assistant managers, and his jaw just dropped. everyone was asking him what had happened, and one guy said "dude it's a GIRL." (Randall recently split from his long-time sig.other, Hollee) Randall was like, yeah it's a girl but not what you think. Haha that makes me laugh. Just in case you didn't laugh, it really was funny.
yeah, so we talked about him and Hollee for a while. He's really busy working in CS but living in Huntsville. He likes it here. It's not a bad town, really. I need to get out more, though. Plus, Eric and Ann (well and all the CS people at A&M, duh) could vouch that you know a town differently from going to school there. Maybe not, but that's been my experience.
What else did we talk about. . . Eric. Randall said he was happy that we did so well this spring. I'm happy too. Randall and Eric have a lot of similar skills in terms of interpersonal relations. They're both very good with girls, and good listeners. And they're both sensitive, in a good way.
It was definitely hard to think of things to talk about after I'd worn out standard things (school, friends, town, job, future plans). We haven't talked in a long time. After I left College Station, Randall became closer with Daniel and I became closer with Phillip. Hopefully I'll get to see more of all of them now.
So that was rather uninformative and not that interesting. But I had a good time! I hate to lose friends. I mean, I've moved so much that it's inevitable that you lose some that way, just from the distance, and then there are other people you simply grow away from. I'd like minimize my losses.

it finally worked! yipee!
I'm so tired right now and for no good reason. I got to talk to three people tonight--Daniel and Eric and Crista. E and Lea are by far two of my most favorite people to talk to. It's hard to find people who are such good listeners.
Daniel was himself as always. It was good to catch up. And to see how much we really have both changed. I never believe it until it's right in my face.
Eric was darling as always. His final is on Friday. So crazy! My final isn't for like two and a half weeks. and then a week after that I'm back in Lawrence. It's amazing; it doesn't feel like I've had a summer.
Crista was amazing as always (yes the repition is intentional). Had a great camping trip. Got sunburned. Ouch!
I really can't think of anything worth while to say. I found my old journal from when I left College Station (I guess it's not that old, but now being back makes it seem much farther away). and I found Kurt's DVD *note to self:mail to Kurt*. Still my box of most important things has yet to be found. only things like my graphing calculator, bike helmet, school stuff. You know, who else would be so bright as to pack everything in the same box. . .
painting going on here, so I should sleep well with all those fumes. Riiight. I'm even boring myself now. Goodnight.

okay, so I've been wanting to post for a long time. I finally fixed my template so you can see more than one entry for more than one month! woohoo.
so i've been busy. so busy that I let Crista down and didn't go camping this weekend. my paper would be even worse than it is now, if that's possible. i'm not sure that could really happen though. and I let Krista down by not finishing it and coming in to CS.
happy thought; not mine:
LilacLenny (11:04:33 PM): what are you thinking?
KUdRUMs (11:04:50 PM): about how great it is to have you
crazy about my boyfriend.
so what have I been up to? class at Sam Houston State University, home of the Bearkats. I'm told it is a mythical creature (as my Jayhawk). Very interesting. Dr. Carter rocks, even if my classmates would disagree with me. we get to watch movies like "Clockwork Orange" and "Dr. Stranglove" for extra credit. I watched a few I'd never seen but been meaning to: "Full Metal Jacket" and "Blue Velvet." More on that later.
also, when I'm not too lazy, I've been going to college station. good to get to visit a place that used to feel so much like home. now lawrence is my home. Miller is my house. I'll keep my room here in Huntsville though--I will have a tiny room this year. and a new roommate *sniff sniff*ah well all things must pass. at least E will be three minutes away. love the scholhalls.
and these huntsville kids, I see neither hide nor hair of them! well I did leave a note on Daniel's car. Krista said my choice of communication is rather archaic. jeeze. just because I don't have a cell phone like everyone else. . .
well my paper is boring, but there's not much I can do because it's due tomorrow and I'm too lazy to mess with it. nonpoint source managment programs. doesn't that sound exciting? maybe going into environmental law is not the best idea for me. . .
no really that's the new consideration. international enviromental law, expecially looking at development in lesser developed countries. I mean, they can't afford to care about the environment because of the way our system is set up. Hmm, more people starving or more air pollution?
wow speak of the devil, Randall called! it's been a long time. catch you kids later.

okay, I need to do to bed, so this is all I have to say tonight.
What threat to the Bush Administation are you?
Threat rating: High. The Bush administration is concerned that it may not get a second term. Therefore, we are going to change the rules so that each Democrat vote only counts as 0.2 votes because Democrat is a shorter word than Republican
What threat to the Bush administration are you? brought to you by Quizilla
I find it amazingly funny that I come up as a Democrat. The only really party-oriented question they had was about abortion. HA! Well, and the war, but the Dems weren't very unified on that. Dah.
peace out.
